FOOTWEAR PRODUCTION LINE

Footwear production is made by many special operations and skilled machines. This job, which used to take a lot of time and skill, can now be done in less time and with easier operations. In this article, we will list you shoe manufacturing processes and machines.

FOOTWEAR CONSUMPTION

The global retail footwear market is on average $ 352 billion worldwide and accounts for 17% of apparel spending. Every person in the world purchases an average of 2 footwear per year. The footwear market is expected to grow by 3.3% annually to reach 2021, $ 407 billion.

FOOTWEAR PRODUCTION PROCESS

SHOE CUTTING AND MARKING

Cutting molds prepared for the shoes to be made are prepared. These cutting dies are mounted on the cutting presses and the shoe parts are cut.

Vacuum table is used to make the cutting process correctly. Alignment marks are added to properly combine the cut pieces.

SHOE SEAM

Footwear parts sew the parts of the shoe using the electric sewing machine. Depending on the shoe design, there may be different numbers of sewing machines on the sewing line. After sewing is completed, the shape of the finger box and heel counters are adjusted. For this, the thermoplastic counters in the foot and heel are heated and the shoe is compressed to adjust the shape.

SHOE FORMING

In machines on the front of the line, steam is used to soften the shoes upper and prepare them permanently. The toe area is fitted in the mold on the machine and the machine uses glue to fix the tops. After the shape becomes permanent, the shoes are passed through the cooling tunnel.

SHOE LINING

After the application, the parts are passed through a heat tunnel to be dried.

SHOE PRESSING

The sole, top, sides and heel are compressed by the pressing machine. Depending on the shoe design, additions such as outer seams and rubber outsole are made after this section. Finally, the shoe can be passed through the drying oven and the UV tunnel to prevent the shoe from becoming moldy.

FOOTWEAR MACHINES

ASSEMBLY MACHINES

It is a group of machines used for mounting the front, back and sole parts of the shoes to each other.

INNER MOLDING MACHINES

It consists of a series of die-cutting, die-combing and blade sharpening machines to form the inner molds of shoes.

INTERMEDIATE PROCESSING MACHINES

These are the machines required for operations such as stretching, aligning, gluing and drying the shoes.

SEWING MACHINES

These are the machines that are required to combine the pattern of the shoes and to get burrs, which vary in number and type according to the shoe model.

SOLE MACHINES

This shoe making group consists of injection machines and lining machines for forming sole and shoe sizes.
